Motion Loom Edit is a browser-based non-linear video editor featuring a multi-track timeline, real-time preview with audio scrubbing, built-in video and audio effects, transitions, text and graphic overlays, and video rendering. Edit your projects entirely in the browser with a professional editing workflow.
The top bar contains project-level controls including Save, Undo/Redo, and Export options.
The left-side toolbar provides quick access to the four main editing tools:
The Project Panel displays all imported media assets. Drag files from here onto the timeline to begin editing. Media types include video, audio, and image files.
The central Stage area shows a real-time preview of the current frame at the playhead position. Playback controls are located below the stage for play/pause, scrubbing, and frame-by-frame navigation.
The right-side Properties Panel displays editable properties for the currently selected clip, including speed, fade in/out, colour coding, video effects, and audio effects.
The bottom area contains the multi-track timeline with separate video and audio track lanes, a time ruler, and a playhead. This is where all clip arrangement and editing takes place.
The timeline supports an unlimited number of tracks for both video and audio:
Clips on the timeline can be edited in a variety of ways:
Apply video effects to individual clips from the Properties Panel. Multiple effects can be stacked on a single clip.
| Effect | Description |
|---|---|
| Blur | Apply a Gaussian blur to the clip |
| Grayscale | Convert the clip to black and white |
| Sepia | Apply a warm sepia tone |
| Invert | Invert all colours in the clip |
| Color Grade | Apply colour grading with presets (Warm, Cool, and more) |
| Vignette | Darken the edges of the frame |
| Frame Counter | Overlay a frame number counter on the video |
| Clip Name | Display the clip name as a text overlay |
Audio effects can be applied per clip to shape the sound:
| Effect | Description |
|---|---|
| Bass Boost | Increase low-frequency levels |
| Treble Boost | Increase high-frequency levels |
| Compressor | Dynamic range compression with configurable threshold and ratio |
| Normalize | Adjust audio levels to a target loudness |
Transitions can be placed between clips on the same track to create smooth visual changes:
| Transition | Description |
|---|---|
| Cross Dissolve | Gradually blend from one clip into the next |
| Fade to Black | Fade the outgoing clip to black, then fade up the incoming clip |
| Dip to White | Fade the outgoing clip to white, then fade up the incoming clip |
Add text and graphic elements directly onto the timeline as overlay clips:
Graphic properties such as colour, size, and position can be edited in the Properties Panel when a graphic clip is selected. A frame counter overlay is also available for production reference.
The Stage area provides real-time preview of your edit:
